On-site & virtual training options
By leveraging the familiar interface of a mobile phone, Mobenzi Researcher reduces fieldworker training requirements to a bare minimum. A short training session for first-time users is generally recommended however. Higher level training sessions covering topics such as survey design, fieldworker & handset management, data analysis and reporting are also available.
Both fieldworker and administrator training are available on-site, delivered by a Mobenzi representative in South Africa or by a local partner in other countries. Virtual training can also be considered where appropriate.
Free telephonic & email support*
When you purchase Mobenzi Researcher response credits you receive free* support time. Every 20,000 usage credits purchased entitles you to an hour of support which can be used to ask questions on software usage, request minor survey modifications, provide professional fieldworker training (excluding travel costs) and advice on handset setup.

& custom development
While some clients elect to manage all processes and desired development in-house, others prefer to outsource certain components. Our team has extensive experience in developing bespoke solutions which leverage the Mobenzi platforms.
Directly and through our partner network, our services can include a blend of design (consulting, protocol formation, metrics definition and domain expertise) and implementation (survey setup, software development and logistics).
Assistance with handsets
Standardising on a single handset model can simplify support and training requirements. Use your existing suppliers if you’d prefer or request our assistance with handset procurement or rental.
Our handset logistics services include handset procurement, asset tagging, application installation, settings configuration and delivery to site.
SIM cards and airtime management
Manually managing and monitoring fieldworker airtime recharges to ensure they don’t run out is a major logistical challenge. Abuse and misuse of airtime is often difficult to detect without close supervision.
We are able to procure SIM cards for most African countries and perform RICA registration for Vodacom (SA). For Vodacom (SA) SIM cards we can monitor and automatically recharge with airtime, data bundles, SMS bundles or a combination.
Ad hoc recharges can be performed on both Vodacom (SA) and MTN (SA) networks. Other African operators can be investigated on request.
